A

More than one company in investigative mode or operational assignment.
Anytime there is an IDLH and someone is on AIR.

Investigative Mode

A

When nothing showing or first arriving unit can’t see what is on fire without getting out and investigating

Fast Attack Mode

A

When quick, immediate action can prevent injury or death.
Radio will enable mobile command so officer can accompany crew to direct involvement of interior attack

Command Mode

A

Incidents by virtue of size, complexity or potential for rapid expansion may require immediate formal command.
Officer may assign crew to engineer and give a task
Officer may assign crew to another Company
May assign crew members to perform dedicated ics positions
Consider passing it to the next engine when 2nd in is a truck co involved in rescue

A

Command Modes do not apply to high rise fires. ALS BASE will be used

A
