What is the main structure used for a section A essay?

A
  • Brief ‘creative overview’ including the role of the character(s) and theme(s)
  • Look at the social, cultural and historical context in terms of what is relevant in the essay
  • If an audience response is required, this comes next
  • Answer the question (this can be in relation to set design, costume design, performance etc)
  • Conclude what the essay has said.
