Annihilationism
The belief that the wicked will be judged by God and thrown into the lake of fire, where they will cease to exist.
Antichrist
“Against Christ”.
Apocalypse
“Unveiling”. It’s used as the title of the last book of NT.
Blessed hope
Biblically used to refer to the second coming of Christ as the fulfillment of our longings.
Consummation
Refers to either the completion of an era of God’s working in history or the absolute completion of history.
Damnation
Synonym for the final judgement, refers to the eternal condemnation of God on those who, because of their sinfulness, will not enter God’s kingdom but enter eternal separation from God.
Day of the Lord
Biblically used in OT prophets who pointed to a future event or era during which God would visit judgment on Israel or the world.
Dispensationalism
A system of theology popularized mainly in the 20th century North America.
God works with humans in distinct ways through history.
Eschaton
“Last”. Refers to the ultimate climax or end of history wherein Christ returns to earth to establish his eternal kingdom of righteousness and justice among all nations.
Amillennialism
The belief that the 1000 years mentioned in Revelation 20 do not represent a specific period of time between Christ’s first and second comings.
Imminence
The possibility of Christ’s second coming at any moment.
Intermediate state
The situation of those people who have died and who now await the future resurrection.
Kingdom
the dynamic reign of God as sovereign over creation

“Thousand” year reign of Christ
Parousia
“Presence” a Greek word used to refer to the second conning of Jesus Christ at the end of history.
