Inflammation of skin and mucous membranes (type IV hypersensitivity)

EM minor - just skin
EM major - skin + mucosa

Infections - herpes (HSV) - mycoplasma - HIV Drugs - sulphonamides (ABx)

Prodrome (warning symptoms that come on before actual disease)
- includes fever and aches

Target lesions
- central vesicle/crust
- ring of pallor
- ring of erythema
Tender/itchy/painful
Distribution (often starts on hands then spreads)
