To avoid inferiority, need to experience multiple areas to discover his/her best skills.

Identity development - who am I? What group do I belong? Sexual orientation identity? Role in society? What are my values? Need group membership outside of family. Need to belong to group who can make worthwhile contribution to society.

mate selection, starting family, experiencing intimacy with mate, friends, family. Commitment to family. Builds on prev stage of identity.
s7 Generativity vs Stagnatioin
Meaningful work, guiding next generation, betterment of society, coping with life changes like midlife crisis Stagnation is when one is self-absorpted instead of giving. Socializing in human relation instead of sexualizing in human realtion
s8 Integrity vs despair
Life review - has meaning or vanity. Can cope with death
