Stage one infancy
Birth to one year.
Basic trust versus mistrust
Babies learn to either trust you or not depending if you will be able to take care of their basic needs like feeding diapering and warmth
Toddler stage two
One to three years
autonomy versus shame and doubt
Want to do everything themselves or doubtful of abilities
Stage III preschool
4-6 initiative versus guilt
Children want to undertake many adult like activities sometimes going beyond the limits set by parents and feeling guilty because of it
School-age
Ages 7-11
Industry versus inferiority
Children eagerly learn to be competent and productive or feel inferior and unable to do any task well
adolescence
Age 12 to 19
Identity versus role confusion
Adolescents try to figure out their personal identity they establish sexual ethnic and career identities or are confused about what future roles to play
Young adulthood
Ages 20 to 44
Intimacy versus isolation
Young adults seek companionship in love with another person or become isolated from others
Middle adulthood
Ages 45 to 65
Generativity versus stagnation
Middle aged adults are productive performing meaningful work and raising a family or become stagnant and inactive
Late adulthood
Age is 65 and over
Ego integrity versus despair
Older adults try to make sense out of their lives either seen life as meaningful in whole or despairing at goals never reched and questions never answered
