what are some side effects of phosphodiesterase type-5 inhibitors?
-vasodilator= hypotension, flushing, headaches, migraine, dyspepsia, nasal congestion, palpitations, tachycardia
when are phosphodiesterase type-5 inhibitors contraindicated?
-myocardial infarction, unstable angina, recent stroke, hypotension, systolic <90mmHg or taking nitrates due to reduced blood perfusion
what type of interactions can occur with phosphodiesterase type-5 inhibitors?
-nitrates, alpha-blockers (once stabilised, then initiate), CCB, nicorandil
