What is a skid?
A
A modular unit that can be shipped to offshore rigs. Often have a metal crash frame to protect the unit as it is hauled by crane to and from rig.

A
A trailer-mounted unit towed to the well site by a tractor cab

A
Has equipment permanently mounted on the truck bed.
