Pandemic kit
- white seal should be intact
- if seal is broken, check the content of the kit and complete the applicable after use instructions
PBE/Smokehood 787
- look through the window on stowage lid to check the PBE is inside
- verify the ‘replace by’ date has not expired
- check metallic seals on either side of the container are intact. If not make a cabin log entry
- if seals are broken open the lid, partially remove PBE and check the humidity indicator which will be blue or pink
- if the indicator is blue the PBE is serviceable
- if the indicator is pink the PBE is serviceable for up to 36 hours from time of discovery after which it must be replaved
Physicians kit
Seals intact or “items used” label attached to handle
Torch 787
- push the “PTT” button and check for green LED light to flash once
- required number provided
Tri fold restraint kit
White plastic seal intact and attached to zipper on outside of the kit
PBE/Smokehood 777
- look through the clear stowage and check that the PBE is inside
- verify the ‘replace by’ date has not expired
- check the green plastic seals on either side of the lid are intact. If not make a cabin log entry
- if both seals are broken open the lid, partially remove the PBE and check the humidity indicator which will be either blue or pink
- if the indicator is blue the PBE is serviceable
- if the indicator is pink the PBE is serviceable for up to 36 hours from the time of discovery after which it must be replaced
Torch 777
- red light flashing
- required number provided
Scott/AVOX portable oxygen bottle 777
