6 months all incisors in wear
When do the adult Incisors erupt?
First incisors - 2.5years
Second Incisors - 3.5 years
Third Incisors - 4.5 years
They come in wear 6 months after they erupt
How many teeth does a horse loose in its first few years?
24 baby teeth
At what age would all the incisor cups be gone?
10 years

What is Parrot Mouth in a horse?
The top incisors are too far forward and stop the bottom jaw moving forward
The opposite is called Sow/Monkey Mouth
When could a supernumerary tooth erupt?
11 or 12 years of age
When naming a tooth/mouth slop how do we name it?
The side that is lowest is the one that we call. eg right side lowest is called a right slope.
When removing teeth from a 20+ year old horse what do we give them?

Periodontal Disease (trapping of food between the teeth and rotting, This affects the periodontal ligament which is very painful

is a condition where a calcified mass or sialolith forms within a salivary gland, usually in the duct of the submandibular gland
