Q
the Paris Agreement 2015
A
At the UN’s Paris Climate Conference (COP21) in December 2015, 195 countries adopted the first universally legally binding global climate deal.
It set out an action plan to:
- Limit average global temperature increase to 1.5oC above pre-industrial levels
- Report on the implementation of individual national plans to reduce emissions
- Strengthen the ability to adapt to and be resilient in dealing with the impacts of CC.
- Provide adaptation support for developing countries
- Continue to support initiatives in developing countries aimed at reducing emissions.
