What are the costs?
Environmental/resource pressure
- acceleration in enviro decline

- Productive land crop has been ruined(exploitation, soil erosion, mining)

There is a high rise in high rise development in city hotspots (Hong Kong)
This creates a loss of recreational spaces
What has happened to people that are in poverty?
There mostly living in slums on the outskirts of the city
