A

If sufficient runway remains: Land

If insufficient runway remains: Safe airspeed, Shallow Turns, Flaps as required

Engine Restart: Maintain safe a/s
Fuel Selector - Switch to tank containing fuel
Electric Fuel Pump - Check ON
Fuel Mixture - Check RICH
Carb Heat - ON

A

Fuel Selector - Switch to tank containing fuel
Electric Fuel Pump - Check ON
Fuel Mixture - Check RICH
Carb Heat - ON
Engine Gauges - Check
Primer - Check locked
If no fuel pressure is indicated, check tank selector

When power is restored:
Carb Heat - OFF
Electric Fuel Pump - OFF

If power is not restored: Trim to 87 MPH

Power Off Landing

A

Locate suitable field
Establish Spiral Pattern
1000 ft above field in downwind position for normal landing approach
When field is easily made, slow to 76 MPH

When committed to landing:
Ignition Switch - OFF
Master Switch - OFF
Fuel Selector - OFF
Mixture - Idle Cut-off
Seat belt and harness - Tight

Master Switch - OFF
Vents - OPEN
Cabin Heat - OFF
LAND AS SOON AS PRACTICABLE

Engine FIre:
Fuel Selector - OFF

Mixture - Idle Cut-off
Fuel Selector - OFF
Electric Fuel Pump - Check OFF
Heater and Defroster - OFF
Proceed with power off landing
