- The mesial portion in the temporal lobe is the most important in epilepsy

- Stroke
- Brain tumour
- Severe head injury
- Substance abuse

- Lack of oxygen during birth

What are some of the treatments for epilepsy?
A
- Anti-epileptic drugs
- Surgery to remove the part of the brain thats causing seizures
- The implantation of an electrical device which can control the seizures
- The individual placed on a ketogenic diet which helps to control seizures
