A

A
number of new diseases cases developing over a specific period of time in a defined population

A
Decayed, Missing, Filled teeth used to measure caries experience in dental epidemiology

what are the limitations of DMF index?
A
- teeth can be extracted for reasons other than caries
- may miss interproximal caries
- Some may mistake fissure-sealants for restorations - underestimating caries
- influenced by past disease activity only
- cant be used for root caries
