DITCHING – POWER ON:

A
  1. Descend to hover above water
  2. Doors……………………………. UNLATCH
  3. Passenger exit aircraft.
  4. Avoid possible injury to passengers by
    blades.
  5. Battery and Alternators ………………OFF
  6. Throttle …………….Roll in to over travel spring
    Keep A/C level and apply full Collective
    as A/C contacts water.
  7. Apply left lateral cyclic to stop blades
    from rotating
  8. Blades stop rotating………. CLEAR A/C

DITCHING – POWER OFF:

A
  1. Follow same procedures as for power failure over land until contacting water.
  2. Apply lateral cyclic when aircraft contacts water to stop blades from rotating
  3. Evacuate A/C

FORWARD FLIGHT:

A
  1. Indication ………. NOSE YAWS RIGHT
  2. Immidiatly enter autorotation.
  3. Maintain speed above 70 KIAS.
  4. Select landing site.
  5. Roll throttle of into overtravel spring.
  6. Perform autorotation landing.

  2. Immidiatly roll throttle of into overtravel

ENGINE FIRE DURING START-UP:

  1. Continue cranking engine
  2. If engine start: …….. RUN AT 50 – 60%
    for a short time, shutdown and inspect
    for damage.
  3. If engine fails start:… FUEL SHUTOFF

  5. Extinguish fire.
  6. Inspect for damage.
