AIR RESTART PROCEDURE:

- Mixture …………………….FULL RICH
- Primer ………… DOWN AND LOCKED
- Throttle ……………..CLOSED, THEN CRACKED SLIGHTLY
- Actuate starter with left hand

DITCHING – POWER ON:
A
- Descend to hover above water
- Doors……………………………. UNLATCH
- Passenger exit aircraft.
- Avoid possible injury to passengers by
blades. - Battery and Alternators ………………OFF
- Throttle …………….Roll in to over travel spring
Keep A/C level and apply full Collective
as A/C contacts water. - Apply left lateral cyclic to stop blades
from rotating - Blades stop rotating………. CLEAR A/C

DITCHING – POWER OFF:
A
- Follow same procedures as for power failure over land until contacting water.
- Apply lateral cyclic when aircraft contacts water to stop blades from rotating
- Evacuate A/C

LOSS OF TAIL ROTOR THRUST IN
FORWARD FLIGHT:
A
- Indication ………. NOSE YAWS RIGHT
- Immidiatly enter autorotation.
- Maintain speed above 70 KIAS.
- Select landing site.
- Roll throttle of into overtravel spring.
- Perform autorotation landing.

HOVER FLIGHT:
A
- Indication ………. NOSE YAWS RIGHT
- Immidiatly roll throttle of into overtravel
spring and settle A/C. - Raise collective just before touchdown to
cushion landing.

ENGINE FIRE DURING START-UP:
A
- Continue cranking engine
- If engine start: …….. RUN AT 50 – 60%
for a short time, shutdown and inspect
for damage. - If engine fails start:… FUEL SHUTOFF
- Master Battery…………………………..OFF
- Extinguish fire.
- Inspect for damage.

ENGINE FIRE:
A
- Enter autorotation
- Master Battery…………………………..OFF
- Cabin heat ………………………………..OFF
- Cabin vent ………………………………… ON
- If engine is running: ……….. PERFORM
NORMAL LANDING - Fuel ……………………………… SHUT-OFF
- If engine stops: …….. SHUT-OFF FUEL
- Execute autorotation landing.

- Land immidiately.
- Extinguish fire.
- Inspect for damage.
