Servo Transparency-Will be felt as uncommanded right cyclic load and associated collective down.
Reduce the severity of the manuver, follow aircrafts natural reaction, let collective decrease naturally,and smoothly counteract right cyclic.
Continuous Tone
- NR is below 360 rpm
-when max take-off rating is exceeded
-after 1.5 sec delay the power is in transient
-immediately when max trans exceeded
-immediately when max trans rating is or will be exceeded during fast power increase
- LOWER COLLECTIVE AND CHECK PARAMETERS
Intermittent tone
NR is above 410 rpm
- Increase collective
Engine flame out (relight impossible)
- Enter Auto by reducing collective
- IAS at Vy
- twist grip to IDLE
- maneuver into wind
- flare at 70 ft
- 20/25 ft Pedal, settle, pull
In flight Relight (dependent on height at least 1000 AGL and cause of flame out)
- FUEL P or FUEL PUMP on
- GENE off
- engine starting selector OFF, then ON
-After relighting - GENE on
- FUEL P or FUEL PUMP off
Complete Loss of TR thrust in cruise flight
- IAS at Vy or higher
- Collective adjusted for sideslip angle
- find landing area
- twist grip IDLE

Loss of TR Control
(Symptom-Jamming of pedals or loss of effectiveness)
Warning- Land is made easier with RH wind & go around is impossible with IAS less than 20 kt due to loss of vertical fin efficiency
- cyclic and collective adjust to 70 kt in level flight
- ACCU TST- ON, load compensator depressurizes
- after 5 sec: ACCU TST- reset to OFF
- run on landing w/ slight left sideslip, sideslip will be reduced when collective is applied
Smoke in the cabin (Source not identified)
Caution- BATT is set to EMER SHED, VEMD goes off
NOTE- after DC switched off and on in flight, GOV light will remain on until shut down
- heating, demisting OFF (smoke clears continue flight) if not then….
- BATT- EMER SHED
- GENE- off
- AVIONICS- off
- ventilate the cabin and when smoke clears then…
- BATT & GENE- on, check DC parameter
if smoke continues…. - BATT and GENE off, LASA POSSIBLE
if smoke does clear, and DC are not correct… - GENE- off, apply GENE off line procedure
if DC parameters correct….. - AVIONIC- on
- minimum consumer- one at a time and if smoke appears keep particular system off
VEMD screen failures
Failure of 1 screen- OFF1 or OFF2- off
Failure of both screens-
1.avoid over limits of power by following this law in level flight.- IAS=100 kt @ sea level-(2 kt/1000 ft)

maintain TRQ>10% and use N2 pointer for reference

- check U bus on VEMD

- light still on, shed unnecessary equipment
- monitor U bus on VEMD

2. if yes, loss of AC consumers including AFCS disengages automatically
