Protective breathing equipment should be used
Do not allow any part of the metal container to make contact with electrical wires
Do not point the full stream into liquid fires. Start at the base and always fight the front of the fire and follow the flames
Do not use on Class D fires

Precautions

A

Ensure long hair is contained within the neck seal.
Remove objects from around the head such as jewellery, earings, hair combs etc to avoid damaging the neck seal
If the hood collapses around the face at any time, remove it immediately and obtain a new one
Do not remove the hood around sparks or open flame.
Some residual oxygen may remain in the hair and the hood
After use, place the PBE on the rear toilet floor and lock the toilet
