Ergonomics is an essential part of product design using ergonomics should improve the people’s lives when using products by increasing their comfort and satisfaction.

Anthropometrics help designers collect useful data,eg head circumference when designing a safety helmet. One must consider variation in size and build some adjustments for the helmet.
User centred design meaning
User centre design methods mean placing people, the users, at the centre/heart of any problem.

User-centered design (UCD) is an iterative design process in which designers focus on the users and their needs in each phase of the design process.

Metal turning
Metal turning is a machining process where a lathe is used to rotate the metal while a cutting tool moves in a linear motion to remove metal along the diameter, creating a cylindrical shape.
What is the process of metal turning
The metal piece is first secured in the chuck. A high-speed steel cutter held in the tool post moves left to right and towards the centre to shape the material to produce a symmetrical shape.The machine may also be a CNC controlled version which allows for greater speed and accuracy.
Milling
Milling is the machining process of using rotary cutters to remove material. Traditionally a milling machine has cutters that can be moved in three axis and operated manually.

Milling is used to cut slots and grooves, machine edges and to smooth large surface areas.
Drilling process
Drilling holes in metal is usually carried out using a pillar drill (drill press) and bit or milling machine with a slot drill. Jigs and fixtures are used to improve accuracy and speed.
