- whitish exudates (eosinophilic micro-abscesses)
- longtudinal furrows
- trachealization
- tubular mid-esophageal stricture
- edema
- Friability

A
- eosinophilic infiltrates >15/hpf 40x in > 1 eso site
- basal hyperplasia
- papillary elongation
- dilated intercellular space
- superficial eosinophilic micro-abscesses

Rx for EoE
A
- high dose PPI
- Topical steroids (budesonide or fluticasone)
- 6 food elimination diet (egg, soy, fish/shellfish, nuts, wheat)
- combined steroids and PPI
- biologic: emapalumab

Short and longterm complications of EoE
A
- candial infection
- food impaction
- strictures
- hypo-motility

FPIES
A
Sx: Vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, lethargy
dx: clinical
Rx: avoid trigger
prognosis: outgrown in toddlerhood

IgE mediated (anaphylaxsis)

Sx: hives, other system involvement
Dx: RAST, Skin prick
Rx: avoid trigger, epi pen
prognosis: lifelong
