Q

Events that take place in the Hadean Eon

A

The earth forms at this time 4.6bya
the moon formed around 4.2 bya after the earth formed. The earth cools at obya the first rocks are formed and the first liquid water is formed.

Q

what happened in the Archeon Eon

A

the origin of life and genetic coding starts happening. the oldest fossilized cells that humans can find on earth are from this time frame. Luca is the first life on earth and the last common ancestory of archea and eubacteria and they are prokatyotes.

Q

Archea times

A

photosynthesis evolved during this time as well around 6 times. Only one plant evolved to make oxygen known as cyanobacteria.
also the stramatolites existed during this time they created oxygen they are the first multicellular prokaryotic life. a large matt of bacteria that lived a shallow part of the sea.
the world filled with oxygen and it started to rust durring this time. oxygen was taken in my the land and the ocean and the earths artmosphere.

Q

Atchea bacteria information

A

A small simple cell, most abundant form of life. This kind of bacteria can tolerate extrmeme temerpatures. have no membrane organelles. Some live in oil, boiling water ect. unicellular. Circular dna structres and never form a chromosome.

Q

Actriarch

A

this is the organic remains of a once upon a time living thing so like a protenin or lipid or molecules no cells. this can be found in rocks that are dated back to the beinging of time bust no cells just organic remains.

Q

Proterozic Eon

A

The great oxygen event- takes place, begins to accumulate on earths. the life that existed at this time could not deal with the change and went extinct but 1 percent. at this point in time the earth becomes covered in ice, and became the snow ball earth around 4 times this has happened due to the rise in oxygen. after this the appearance of the eukaryote cells that all plant and animals are made of. this is a larger and modern cells. they have organelles. in the nucleus it has DNA in the form of lines known as chromosomes. during this time sexual reproduction occurs rather than making copies of ones self now you get partical copes of each gene, and they do not tolerate extreme environments at all.

Q

The boring billion what happend and when

A

Happened during the Proterozoic eon. this is when fungal cells spread across the earth. the first animal cells appeared and so did the first plant cell, as in a eukaryote that could photosynthesis. first multicellular organisms appear known as the avalan explosions. life that we do not know much about, nothing like them alive know known as rangomorphs. they are not like a plant, they did not photosynthesis, and they where not animals as well because they grew fractially and they brached off to make a smaller version of the identical self. oxygen levels finally reached todays leves.

Q

Phanerozoic Eon (visivle life) what happened

A

Plants and animals from today appeared during the Cambrian explosion. the animals where capable that the avalan could not do. for example move around more, without sliding, the cambrian animals could swim fast and crawl also burrow more dinamic forms of life around 540 mya. so multicellular animals known as vertebrates have a skeleton on the inside of the body, and invertebrates have exoskeltons on the outside of body like an armor. the avalon was filled with mostly soft body animals.

Q

Paleozoic when did it happen and what happened

A

this was part of the Phanerozoic eon. during this time life went from being into the water from being on like so aquatic terrestrial life formed. Ticktalic is the name of the animal that was found to link the water and terrestrial life together. amphibians where dominate and reptiles appeared during this time. the first plants multicellular that appeared on land around this time.

15
Q

Multicellular organism

A

facaltative means that its an organism thats not a true multicellular organism. this is a colonial organism meaning the cells are loosely associated with each other. the cells that make this up can be pulled apart and separated the cells can live alone and go on to form new colonial organisms.
obligate this is an organism where the cells can not live independently from the organism. for example a human cell it does not crawl and live alone it dies off fast.

Q

Characteristics of Cells

A

Lipid memebrane which is made from fat molecules. cytoplasm the jell like liquid that is in all living cells, Dna which is the molecule of inheritance it is long, Ribosome they read the genetic code and make proteins from it.

17
Q

Passive Cell movment

A

activity that does not require engery for a cell to do. cell spends no energy to do it.

18
Q

Simple Diffusion

A

this is the movment of small atoms or molecules through an area of high to low concentration. movement through the cell membrane into or out of the cell. the molecules most be lipofilic or fat loving molecules or atoms.

19
Q

Concentraion gradient

A

this affects diffusion if the concentration gradient is the same on the inside and outside of the cell it will take longer for diffusion to take place if at all. The bigger the amount of nutrients outside of the cell makes the difference, this makes diffusion happen diffusion of the nutrients out of the cell.

20
Q

Facilitated diffusion

A

Substances that can not mix with fat and repel from fat cells. for example like glucose is lipo phobic and it is food for your cells. this is where lipo phobic substances diffuse in or out of a cell only through a membrane protein. and proteins are found stuck in cell membranes for passage ways for substances that can not pass.
