How does digestion work?
A
Enzyme which is really a complex 3D protein shape.Fits a substrate into its active site and then the enzymes breaks this down and products are released.AKA Lock and key theory.

Factors affecting enzyme action?
A
Temperature-At low temperature the number successful collisions between the enzyme active site and the substrate is lower.At temperatures higher than 37.5 Celsius the active site is denatured .
pH-The optimum alkalinity and acidity of an enzyme is an affecting factor because if it is too acidic or too alkaline it could affect the active site i.e. denatured
