Q

method for amylase

A
  • add iodine to spotting tile
  • mix starch solution and amylase in test tube
  • place in water bath at specific temp
  • every 30s take a drop and add to iodine
  • if iodine stays brown starch is gone so record the time taken
  • repeat for other temp

Q

results

A
  • low temp = less KE - few collisions
  • opt temp = max rate
  • high temp = denatures - AS changes - ROR decreases
