Catholic earth care Australia
This Australian initiative is part of a growing catholic concern for the environment which has been developing for many years, building on historic catholic values and attitudes such as those of st. Francis of Assisi. Pope john Paul II greatly strengthened catholic advocacy of environmental issues, leading to the establishment of organisations such as catholic earthcare Australia
“Subdue the earth”
Christian should see “subduing the earth” as continuing gods work of creation rather than the exploitation of it
Evangelicals
Not as quick to develop environmental ethical system, perhaps because they believe that although nature reveals gods qualities, we do not find god in nature (unlike Catholics)
