Benefits
- relaxes tense muscles
- relieves muscular tension and pain
- remove dead cells and improve skin
- increase blood circulation bringing fresh nutrients to the area
- increase the lymphatic circulation which speeds up the removal of waste and toxins
- increase the skins sebaceous activity therefore improving dry skin condition.
Contra indication Highly vascular skin Inflamed or broken skin Varicose veins Excessively hairy areas Bony or thin clients Hypertensive skin Recent fractures Senile skin Thrombosis Phlebitis Skin tags Moles Over abdomen in pregnancy and menstruation Acute back problems
Infra red
Warming feeling. Not visible.
No oils before lamp

- relieves pain in the joints
Audio sonic vibrator
Deep effect within the skin and muscle tissue by compressing and decompressing them.
Can be used with oil, cream and gel and talc.
Reason of use- preheat treatment and alleviate aches and pains.
Effect

Effects on massage on the body
- muscles and joints. Fresh oxygen and waste products are absorbed more quickly. Joins adhesions build up and more mobility.
*circulation and lymphatic. A blood supply to the muscle is increased the temperature will be raised and will feel warmer and erythema will appear.
The function of veins is improved as they carry waste, toxins and carbon dioxideinto the blood stream and eliminate the waste products. Arteries carry oxygen and nutrients much faster through the blood stream. Lymphatic circulation
is improved and the flow is increased to the nearest lymph glands, fresh lymph absorbs within these areas..
- nerves. Nerve ending stimulation. Pressure applied on painful areas it help to create a numbing affect on the area.
*skin. Increase circulation. Improve sebaceous and swet glands by freeing them open them.
Sensory nervs are nourished with fresh blood supply, therefore more sebum is produced and the skin become more soft and supple.
Suduferous glands are stimulated that produce more awareness and expression after waste products.
Desquamation take place the top layer of dead cells are massaged away. Improving the skin condition.
5 classical massage movement
- Efflorage- lymphatic flow ( drainage)
- Petrissage - relief tension , nourishes and feeds the tissue
- Tapotement - highly stimulating
- Vibration short but specific massage treatment.
- Friction - deep muscle ( force across the affected tissue) ( muscle strip)
