Present Simple

Present Continuous
Ενεστώτας Διαρκείας
Describe actions that are happening right now or in the near future.
-I’m working right now. I’ll call you later!
Present Perfect Simple
Απλός Παρακείμενος
Something started in the past and continues to the present.
-Have you seen Mike today?
Present Perfect Continuous
Παρακείμενος (διαρκείας)
Δίνουμε έμφαση στην ίδια την πράξη και όχι στο αποτέλεσμα της!
-You look tired, have you been running?
Past Simple
Απλός αόριστος
Αctions that started and finished in the past
I went to sleep early yesterday.
Past Continuous
Ενεστώτας Διαρκείας
Describes actions that were in progress at a specific time in the past
I was playing football from 9 to 11 yesterday evening.
Past Perfect Simple
Απλός Υπερσυντέλικος
Describes actions that were completed before a past action
I had walked to school before I met him
Past Perfect Continuous
Υπερσυντέλικος Διαρκείας
Δίνουμε έμφαση στην πράξη και τη διάρκεια που είχε
I had been drinking coffee when he walked in
Future Simple
Απλός Μέλλοντας (Will or going to)
Actions that will happen in the future
I will/ am going to walk to work tomorrow
Future Continuous
Μέλλοντας Διαρκείας
Actions that will be in progress at a specific time in the future
This time tomorrow I will be driving to work
Future Perfect
Συντελεσμένος Μέλλοντας (will have +ed form)
Actions that will be completed before a future time
I will have walked to school by the time you wake up tomorrow
Future Perfect Continuous
Συντελεσμένος Μέλλοντας Διαρκείας
Ίδιος με την απλή εκδοχή του, όμως δίνεται έμφαση στη διάρκεια
When I turn thirty, I will have been playing piano for twenty-one years.
