A story in prose fiction, poetry, drama or visual language that has more than one level of meaning.

A
When one noun group immediately follows another with the same reference, they are said to be in apposition, for example ‘our neighbour, Mr Grasso …’, ‘Canberra, the capital of Australia …’.

Words that commonly occur in close association with one another (for example, ‘blonde’ goes with ‘hair’, ‘butter’ is ‘rancid’ not ‘rotten’, ‘salt and pepper’ not ‘pepper
