Is the advancement of science beneficial for humans? Is it a key a pathway a solution? Or does it seclude, seal our relationship with god? Does it exceed the perimeter of knowledge in which we are allowed to pursue, curiosity consuming our thoughts. Personally to a certain extent I disagree with this statement because I believe there is nothing sacrilegious or heretical with the advancement of science, beneficially and benevolently impacting mankind as the advancement of medicine extends and saves lives which are so cruelly snatched from the cold hand of death. Unjust. Undesrved. Outrafe. Frankensteins creation of the monster if it were not to fuel his own ego would’ve impact mankind, saving lives exceeding life spans and overall would permit a better understanding of its present and gives the possibility to develop adequate strategies for the future
Examples of advancements in medicine
For example many prominent noteworthy impactful advancements of medicine have been made which have influence humanity. (Then talk about organ transplants)
(Talk about vaccines)
(Talk about anti ageing drugs)
However….
However victor frankensteins creation of the monster was not to impact humanity his intital motive wasn’t to assist society. It was not a valiant act to help mankind. Frankensteins creation of the monster was to fuel and feed his male ambition and egotism a calamitous cataclysmic issue that travels beyond religion. Victors fatal flaw is male egotism and ambition to emulate a deity and Christian’s particularly literal oppose victors efforts in a heretical act of creating new life. It was mainly victors blasphemous comical attempt to imitate a god like figure ludicrously laughably mimicking the event of creation. In this perspective I do agree that observing victors authentic intentions he should not have played god as it is demonstrated and displayed in this allegorical warning that by rebelling against god will lead to catastrophic consequences. Victors hamartia and his persistent misdeeds throughout the novel create a clear epistemic gap between the divine attributes of god and victors lack of omnipotence and omnibenevolence reflecting the relationship between god and humanity. In this way victor SHOUOD not have played god
