Simple Sentence

Compound Sentence
independent/main clause + conjunction + independent/main clause
Independent/Main Clause
subject + verb; can stand alone and still make sense as a simple sentence.
Dependent/Subordinate Clause
subject + verb; cannot exist by itself and requires a main clause to make sense in a sentence.
