shows that mrs Birling is prejudiced against working class people and doesnt see them as women

he should be made an example of .If the girls death is due to anybody, then its due to him… make sure that hes compelled to confess in public his responsibility (dramatic irony- mrs birling believs in traditional gender roles, believs in reputation)

i was the one that didnt give in(she thinks very highly of herself ,or rather, she wants to prove to herself and her ability to do what her husband respects)
sybil birling- child
Youre behaving like a hysterical child tonight
(this line further illustrates sybil’s dismissive attitude even towards her own children, when their views challenge her own . it underscores her refusal to acknowledge any wrongdoing and her belief in maintaining social order, no matter what the cost.
