The Celts: What were the occupations of the Celts?
They were hunters, farmers and metal workers
The Celts: Where did they live?
They lived in small villages or farming communities.
They build hill forts which were fortifications with banks and ditches around them .
They lived in huts with thatched roofs.
The Celts:What did they worship and how were their priests called?
They worshipped the naturale elements and practised rites near nature .Their most influential priests were called Druids and were very importanti figures of their society.
The Celts: What was their basic unit of life ?

The Romans:What did they build?
Towns and roads, ore than 9600 km of paved roads.Towns had baths and became trading centres.
The Romans: What could you find in Londinium?
You could find the first London Bridge built by the Romans on the river Thames. It was the network of all their roads
The Romans: What else did they build?
They also build Hadrian’s wall ,it was a defensive fortification that extended around the border of today’s Scotland.
The Anglo-Saxons: Where were they from?
They were Germanic Tribes.
The Anglo-saxons: What were their jobs/occupations?
They were farmers and fishermen.
The Anglo-Saxons: How did they live and what did they build in the centre of their villages?
They lived in family groups/clans. In the centre of their villages they build decorated communal halls.
The Anglo-Saxons: What alphabet did they use? And what did their dialects become?
They used the runic alphabet. Their dialects created the Old English which was the basis for our Modern English.
The Anglo-saxons: Were they Christian or pagan? Can you tell how England’s religion changed?
They were pagans. To bring back christianity in England the Pope Gregory I sent a monk ,Augustine, around England.Augustine first went to Canterbury and thus became the first Archbishop of Canterbury.
What kind of government is established after the Anglo-Saxon invasion?
The heptarchy.The kingdom was divided into 7 other kingdom that each had its king.
