Why did everyone despise Henrietta Marie?
They thought that gradually Charles I would make England back to Catholic and everyone hated her since the Guy Fawkes incident because Guy Fawkes was a Catholic.

3 main points why Religion caused the Civil War?
- Charles I married Henrietta Marie, a catholic.
- A new prayer book was introduced that caused controversy
- William Laud was names Archbishop of Canterbury. This led to people thinking England was changing back to Catholicism.
3 main reasons that Politics/Power caused the civil war?
- The long parliament issued Charles I with the Grand Remonstrance, a long list of complaints about his personal rule.
- Charles I entered the House of MP’s to arrest 5 MP’s but they weren’t there and failed at his mission
3 Main points that Economics/money caused the English civil war?
-Ship Tax - It was the tax that people had to pay to defend against pirates but is wasn’t actually for pirates it was for Charles I because he was greedy and wanted more money.
-He kept asking parliament for more money for the Bishop War, this went on for 3 weeks before dissolving it this was because he fought the Spanish and French war, which he both lost which cost him a lot of money and had to ask parliament for more
