A scene from an earlier time that interrupts an ongoing action of the story
Flashback
To show our indicated before hand; to give a glimpse of what may happen in the future
Foreshadowing
Descriptive words or phrases that appeal to the readers 5 senses
imagery
The most important point in the paragraph or story. It is usually stated in the topic sentence or thesis. It has supporting details that relate to the main idea
Main idea
Is made up of vents that could be divided into rising action, climax and falling action. The rising action develops as the main character encounters conflicts. Rising action leads to climax, or turning point of the story,
