Underline message about life or human nature that the writer shares with the reader sometimes must be inferred.

Main character in a work of littchure involved in the central conflict
Antagonist
The opposite force of the protagonist.
Illusion
Indirect reference to famous person or a litturery work.
Diction
Writer or speaker form of words

The secuence of events that happen in a story
Setting
Time and place of the action of the work
Foil
A character who provides a striking contrast to another character.
Foreshadowing
Hint and clues that will suggest later events in a story.
Tone
The attitude take towards a subject

One of the character and we as the reader know

All knowing everything and every body

Know what one character knows
Situational irony
What expected to happens is the opposite of what happens
Verbal irony
Speaker says one thing but means another
Dramatic irony
When reader knows something the character dose not know
Flashback
Author interrupts a story to events that happened at a previous time
