Characters
the mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual.
Characterization
Indirect:not directly caused by or resulting from something.
Direct:extending or moving from one place to another by the shortest way without changing direction or stopping.
Theme
the subject of a talk, a piece of writing, a person’s thoughts, or an exhibition; a topic.
Universal Theme
When a theme is relatable by a wide range of readers, we call this a universal theme.
Setting
the place or type of surroundings where something is positioned or where an event takes place.
Mood
a temporary state of mind or feeling.
Tone
a musical or vocal sound with reference to its pitch, quality, and strength.
Plot
the main events of a play, novel, movie, or similar work, devised and presented by the writer as an interrelated sequence.
Conflict
a serious disagreement or argument, typically a protracted one.
Exposition
a comprehensive description and explanation of an idea or theory.
Rising action
Rising action is the section of a story that leads toward its climax. Because of the increased tension as a book’s central conflict (or conflicts) become clear, the rising action is often what keeps you turning the pages.
Climax
the most intense, exciting, or important point of something; a culmination or apex.
Falling action
Falling action is the period of time in a story that follows the climax and begins to clarify the narrative
Resolution
a firm decision to do or not to do something.
