Engineering Process Metrics Flashcards
teamStoryPointsCommittedCompletedRatio
Sprint Predictability - Percentage of the specific story points committed at the beginning of the sprint that were completed. Specific means the points on the issues that were committed to at the start of the sprint. Example: I committed to 100 points worth of issues at the start of the sprint, and then completed 50 points worth of those initially committed issues, and 50 points worth of issues that were not committed at the start of the sprint, my sprint predictability would be 50%.
teamSprintAdditionRate
Sprint Addition Rate - The number of points added to the sprint after the start of the sprint, divided by the number of points committed at the start of the sprint. Example: I committed to 100 points worth of issues at the start of the sprint, and then added 50 points of new Jira issues, my sprint addition rate would be 50%
teamSprintCompletionRate
Sprint Completion Rate - Percentage of story points completed vs the number of points committed to at the start of the sprint, disregarding the specificity mentioned in sprint predictability. Example: I committed to 100 points worth of issues at the start of the sprint, and then completed 50 points worth of those initially committed issues, and 50 points worth of issues that were not committed at the start of the sprint, my sprint completion rate would be 100%.
teamSprintsCompleted
Sprints Completed - Number of sprints completed in a given timeframe.
