The engineer is directly in charge of the construction personnel or may have responsibility for the quality of the construction process

The engineer assists the company’s customers to meet their needs, especially those that require technical expertise

The engineer works as consultant of any individual or organization requiring his services

The engineer may find employment in the government performing any of the activities of various institutions, public or private

The engineer gets employment in an educational institution and is assigned as a teacher of engineering courses. Some of them later become deans, presidents, and vice presidents.

This includes minimal engineering jobs such as retailing firms. The engineer has a slim chance of becoming the general manager or president. The engineer may be assigned to head a small engineering unit of the firm
Level 1
Moderate degree of engineering jobs such as transportation companies. The engineer in this level may be assigned to head the engineering division and will feel the need for management skills
Level 2
High degree of engineering jobs such as construction firms. Level three firms provide the biggest opportunity for an Engineer to become the president or general manager. The engineer manager needs adequate management skills in order to function effectively in this level
