- CODOG (2 GT for speed and power, 1 PDE for cruising.
- 2-5-bladed CRPP (controllable, reversible, pitch propellers)
- 1 rudder amidships between the two propellers.
- Steering system at 3 operating locations
- 4 diesel generators

(propulsion and steering) - The diesel alternators also provide electricity for ship’s use, with a back-up diesel generator

A
- CODOD:
2 diesel engines drive to independent fixed pitch propellers. Troll function is fitted to maximize the engines power - 2 small semi-balanced rudders placed directly astern of the propellers.
- Steering system is set up for maximum redundancy with several control modes and 2 operating locations
- 3 diesel generators produce electricity which is fed into 1 switchboard and distributed throughout the ship
