CAPTAIN - STEP 1 - START RIGHT ENGINE
CLEAR RIGHT -> FO “Clear Right”
TURNING RIGHT -> FO “Rotation
» Right Ignition & Engine Start Switch - ON
» “N1” (at first indication of N1)
» “IGNITION” - Confirmed on Annunciator Panel
» OIL PRESSURE” (at first indication of Oil Pressure)
» N1 13% ITT Below 200 - RIGHT CONDITION LEVER TO LOW IDLE
» “FUEL FLOW” (at first indication of fuel flow)
» “LIGHT UP” - ITT should rise within 10 seconds
» ITT and N1 - Monitor 1000℃ Maximum
» AT 50% N1 - Right Ignition & Engine Start Switch off
CAPTAIN - STEP 2 - CONFIRM RIGHT ENGINE STABLE
ONCE ENGINE IS STABLE
ITT - Less than 750℃
TQ (Torque) - Stable / Not powered
Prop - Stable (RPM +/- 750)
Confirm Low Idle - N1 65%
Fuel Flow - Normal
Oil Pressure & Temp in the Green
RIGHT CONDITION LEVER -> High Idle
- Confirm High Idle 71%
RIGHT GENERATOR -> Gen Reset then on
- R DC Gen Annunciator Extinguished
- L & R Gen Tie Open Annunciator Extinguished
- Check Positive Load on R Gen Load Meter
- Voltage Check
CAPTAIN - STEP 3 - RIGHT GENERATOR
RIGHT GENERATOR -> Gen Reset then on
- R DC Gen Annunciator Extinguished
- L & R Gen Tie Open Annunciator Extinguished
- Check Positive Load on R Gen Load Meter
- Voltage Check
L & R AC BUS -> Check
- Annunciator Illuminated
L & R AC BUS - ON
- Annunciator Extinguished
LEFT INVERTER FREQ. -> Check
(380-420 HZ)
LEFT INVERTER VOLTAGE -> Check
(110-220 V)
SELECT RH INVERTER
RIGHT INVERTER FREQ. -> Check
(380-420 HZ)
RIGHT INVERTER VOLTAGE -> Check
(110-220 V)
RIGHT AC BUS -> Off then XFR
- Annunciator Illuminated then Extinguished
- Master Warning - Cancel
- Freq. Indication Restored
RIGHT AC BUS -> ON
LEFT AC BUS -> Off then XFR
- Annunciator Illuminated then Extinguished
- Master Warning - Cancel
- Freq. Indication Restored
LEFT AC BUS -> ON
CAPTAIN - STEP 4 - BATTERY
CHARGE BATTERY UNTIL GEN LOAD IS BELOW 40% AND AMMETER SHOWS A DROP IN CHARGE
CAPTAIN - STEP 5 - START LEFT ENGINE
CLEAR LEFT -> Check that Left Propeller is Clear
TURNING LEFT ->
» Left Ignition & Engine Start Switch - ON
» Rotation
» “N1” (at first indication of N1)
» “IGNITION” - Confirmed on Annunciator Panel
» OIL PRESSURE” (at first indication of Oil Pressure)
» N1 13% ITT Below 200 - RIGHT CONDITION LEVER TO LOW IDLE
» “FUEL FLOW” (at first indication of fuel flow)
» “LIGHT UP” - ITT should rise within 10 seconds
» ITT and N1 - Monitor 1000℃ Maximum
» AT 50% N1 - Right Ignition & Engine Start Switch off
CAPTAIN - STEP 6 - CONFIRM LEFT ENGINE STABLE
ONCE ENGINE IS STABLE
ITT - Less than 750℃
TQ (Torque) - Stable / Not powered
Prop - Stable (RPM +/- 750)
Confirm Low Idle - N1 65%
Fuel Flow - Normal
Oil Pressure & Temp in the Green
LEFT & RIGHT CONDITION LEVER -> Low Idle
- Confirm Low Idle 65%
CAPTAIN - STEP 7 - LEFT GENERATOR
LEFT GENERATOR -> Gen Reset then on
- L DC Gen Annunciator Extinguished
- Check Positive Load on L Gen Load Meter
RIGHT GENERATOR -> OFF
- R DC Gen Annunciator Illuminated
- Master Caution Warning Flashes
- Voltages -> Check
° Batt, L&R Gen, CTR Bus - 27.5-29v
° TPL Bus - 26.5-28v
° Ext Pwr - 0v
RIGHT GENERATOR -> Gen Reset then on
- R DC Gen Annunciator Extinguished
- Check Positive Load on R Gen Load Meter
GEN TIES SWITCH -> Open (Off)
- L & R Gen Tie Open Annunciators Illuminated
- Ammeter Zero
- TPL Bus Voltage -> 26.5-28v
GEN TIES SWITCH -> NORMAL
- L & R Gen Tie Open Annunciator Extinguished
- Ammeter Indicating Charge
CAPTAIN - STEP 8 - CENTER BUS
CENTER BUS -> Select
BUS SENSE SWITCH -> Test
- L & R Gen Tie Open and Battery Tie Open Annunciator Illuminated
- CTR Bus Voltage - 0v
BUS SENSE RESET SWITCH -> Reset
- L & R Gen Tie Open and Battery Tie Open Annunciator Extinguished
- CTR Bus Voltage - Restored
LOAD METERS -> PARALLEL WITHIN 10%
