Engine Run Limits Flashcards
Oil pressure of 250 PSIG is allowed
until oil temperature is above 45C
Ng RPM varies to
maintain minimum Np RPM
Power limited to ground idle when oil temperature is below 0C
and is limited to 1000 HP when oil temperature is 0 to 45C
Avoid stabilized operations between 52 to 68 and
75 to 85 percent ranges Np RPM, which are the turbine shaft and propeller critical speed ranges.
With oil temperature in normal range, if sustained oil pressure is
equal to or exceeds 90.0 PSI, perform engine shutdown. Engine maintenance is required.
When oil temperature is in the normal range, unlimited engine operation is permitted up to when power section oil pressure exceeds
90.0 PSI for 30 seconds or more. Power section oil pressure maintenance trending will be performed when oil pressure exceeds 80.0 PSI
Max continuous HP is 4,691 (+/-74) (ambient temp 83F (28C) of less with no bleed air demand)
HP readout must line up with tick mark on indicator for maximum continuous HP
Max takeoff HP is 4,691 (+/-74) (ambient temperature 103F (39C) or less with no bleed air demand.)
HP readout must be the same as or greater than maximum continuous HP reading.
