Engine Failure during takeoff roll
Throttle-Iddle
Brakes- Apply
Wing flaps- retract
Mixture- Iddle cut off
Ignition Switch-OFF
Master switch- Off
Engine power loss during TAKEOFF
If sufficient runway (for stop)
Airspeed-Maintain safe
Landing- Land and stop straight ahead
Brakes
If insufficient runway remains
Airspeed-Maintain safe
Flaps- As required
If sufficient altitude has been gained to attempt a restart
Airspeed-Mantain 76 Kias
Fuel Selector- Switch to tank with fuel
Fuel pump- on
Mixture- Rich
Alt. Air-Open
Engine power loss restart procedure
Airspeed- Maintain 76 Kia’s
Fuel selector-Switch to tank with fuel
Fuel pump- On
Mixture-Rich
Alt. Air- Open
Left/Right Mag Switches- Off then On (one at a time)
What should you do if the Power is restored?
Alt. Air- Close
Fuel Pump- off
What should you do if power engine is not restored?
Adjust speed at 76 Kias
Point nose where you want to land
Squawk 7700
Comunicate 121.5 (Mayday)
Give Location and Intentions
Activate ELT
Emergency Power-off landing
Airspeed- Maintain 76 Kias
Landing Pattern Establish 1000ft above field elevation
at downwind position.

Flaps- As desired
Throttle-Close
Mixture- Idle Cut-Off
Left/Right Mag Switches-Off
Altr. Switch- Off
Fuel Pump- Off
Fuel Selector- Off
Seatbelts & Harnesses- Tight
After Touchdown:
Battery Master Switch-Off
If Propeller Stops spinning
Ignition Switch- Start
Throttle- Advance From Idle(slowly)
Mixture-Lean from full rich as required
Precautionary Landing With ENGINE POWER
Passengers Seat- Upright position
Seats and seatbelts- Secure
Airspeed- 65 Kia’s
Wing Flaps-20degrees
Selected Field- Fly Over, Retract Flaps when reaching safe altitude and airspeed
Avionics Master Switch-Off
Electrical Switches- Off
Wing Flaps- 30 degrees (final approach)
Airspeed-65 Kia’s
MASTER Switch Off
Doors- Unlatch prior to touchdown
Touchdown-Slightly tail low
Ignition Switch-OFF
Brakes Apply heavily
