23
Q

Oil - how many systems?

A

4 independent systems

24
Q

Oil
Capacity
Min

A

Service to max 28 gallons

Min for flight is 20 gallons

25
Q

Operation of oil system

A

Oil flows from tank by gravity and suction to engine driven pumps

After oil flows through engine to lube and cool. It flows to sump.

Scavenge pump picks up oil and forces it through the cooler and back to the tank.

Engines 1&3 have air wolf oil filter prior to oil cooler

26
Q

Oil specs

A

Engine 1: SAE 60 120 AD
Engines 2,3 & 4: SAE 60 weight non detergent straight mineral oil

50 weight can be used as an alternate

27
Q

Where is the oil cooler?

A

Below each nacelle

No controllable doors

28
Q

Feathering Oil

A

Each tank has a stand pipe

5 gallons
