A deep feeling attributed to a scene or passage specially designed to evoke the emotions of tenderness, pity or sympathetic sorrow from the reader.
Nemesis
A villain who has a particular interest in defeating a hero or group of heroes.
Dramatic irony
A situation when the audience knows some that the characters don’t.
Tragic hero
A privileged chartered of high repute. By virtue of a tragic flaw and fate falls from glory
Aside
An aside is a brief comment made when others are onstage, but the rest of the characters for not hear
Hubris
A person suffering from hubris will show an overwhelming pride in their place in the world.
This is a specific fatal flaw resulting from excessive pride, ambition, and over confidence. It will make the person do three things:
Break moral laws
Ignore divine warnings
Attempt to transcend normal human limitations
Soliloquy
A long speech made to the audience while the character is alone on stage
Reveals their inner thoughts and feelings
