Anything moving has energy in it, its ‘kinetic energy store’.

What is Thermal energy
‘All objects’ have energy in this store. The ‘hotter’ the object, the more energy is store.

Any that can release energy by a ‘chemical reaction’, has energy in this store.
What is gravitational ptential
Any object ‘raised above ground level’, has energy in store.
What is Elastic potential
Anything streched has a energy in store, like ‘spring’ and ‘rubber bands’.
What is Electrostatic
Two ‘charges’ that attract or repel each other, that has energy in store.
What is Megnetic
Two ‘magnets’ that attract or repel each other, has energy in store.
What is Nuclear
The ‘nucleus of an atom’ releases energy from this store in ‘nuclear reactions’.

2) For example, when a pan of water is ‘heated’ on a hob

1) This happens when energy is transferred by ‘sound’ or ‘light’
