Q

What are secondary sources of energy?

A

Raw materials that are manufactured or altered to produce energy e.g. biogas and alcohol made from biomass and renewable energy that has to be collected with specialised equipment.

Q

How has the global energy mix changed between 1800 and 2000?

A

In 1800 it was primarily biomass and a small % of coal.
By 2000 it is mainly oil, gas and coal with a small amount of HEP and biomass.
