What is energy effienciency?
The percentage of energy consumed by a machine or system that was transformed into useful energy.
What is thermal energy?
Energy resulting from the random motion of all particles in a substance.
What is heat?
The transfer of thermal energy between two environments with different temperatures. Heat always passes from a warmer to a cooler environment.
What is temperature?
Mesure of degree of agitation of the particles of a substance.
What is specific heat capacity?
The amount of thermal energy required to raise the temperature of one gram of a substance by one degree Celcius.
What is kinetic energy?
The energy an object possesses due to its motion.
What is gravitational potential energy?
The energy reserve of an object based on its mass and its height above a reference surface.
What is mechanical energy?
The sum of kinetic & potential energy in a system.
