What are fuels?
Materials such as wood, coal, gas and oil that are burned to produce energy
Where does the stored energy in wood come from?
Light energy from the sun, carbon dioxide, water and nutrients from soil, which is stored as glucose sugar in the tree.
What are natural gas and petroleum made from?
Tiny sea organisms that sank to the bottom of the ocean where they were buried under sand and over time changed into crude oil and natural gas
What 4 things are made from crude oil?
Petrol, diesel, paraffin and candle wax
