Endometriosis is oestrogen dependent.

How is endometriosis treated medically?
A
- NSAID - pain
- COCP/POP
- HRT (post-op): five years.
- GnRH analogue (post-op) to prevent relapse for 1-2 years
- Clonidine: alpha blocker for hot flushes
- Ruloxitine: SERM

How is endometriosis treated surgically?
A
- Small surgery - excision, ablation and coagulation
