endocrine system Flashcards

1
Q

what is the endocrine system?

A
  • functions to secrete hormones in the blood stream to regulate many of our bodily functions
  • with the nervous system, they work togther to regulate and coordinate physiological processes

Pineal gland - located in brain - secrete melatonin

thyroide gland - loacted in throat - secrete thyroxine

thymus - located in chest - secrete ??
