What was the Policy of Vietnamisation introduced by President Nixon?
A
Vietnamisation saw America expand, train and equip the South Vietnamese Army (SVA) so south Vietnam could protect itself from communist invastion from the North. This meant that American troops could gradually withdraw.

It meant that America could withdraw their soldiers without making it look like they had lost the War (withdraw ‘with honour’)
